Following concerns from a number of TIPE subscribers TIPE investigated the Entertainment Group.

Investigations revealed that the Entertainment Group had registered several hundred domain names based on inflatable hire companies, entertainment agencies, event management companies and others involved in the entertainment industry, with a web site for each directing visitors to the Entertainment Group.

TIPE joined forces with the National Outdoor Event Association, Event magazine, INPA magazine and the National Entertainment Agents Council in demanding that the Entertainment Group remove the offending domain names.

Fortunately common sense prevailed and the offending sites were closed within 48 hours.

This was a great result for TIPE and showed how cooperation between different sectors can bring pressure in these situations
