Insurance - the importance of reading the small print

Inflated News Play & Attractions is reminding bouncy castle hire companies of the importance of checking 'Conditions' and 'Warranties' when taking out their insurance cover.

Peter Grand, editor, said "whilst it can be a tedious task it is imperative that bouncy castle hire companies, bouncy castle testers and bouncy castle sales companies, check the 'Conditions' and 'Warranties' contained in the Policy Terms. This applies to established bouncy castle hire companies as well as those entering the bouncy castle industry. With the introduction of BS EN 14960:2006 and other factors 'Conditions' and 'Warranties' continually change and it is the responsibility of the Insured to ensure they understand the limitations of their policy. If in doubt bouncy castle operators should talk to their Insurer prior to signing up to any Policy."

TIPE, the subscription service of Inflated News Play & Attractions, is preparing Information Sheet 34 in conjunction with a number of insurance companies to clarify the importance. Note that TIPE Information Sheets are only available to TIPE subscribers. To subscribe to TIPE visit www.tipe.co.uk
